ESPN reports that the Blazers player personnel finally got an up close look at their future on Wednesday when center Greg Oden , who has missed the entire season, practiced with the team for 45 minutes. Oden, who is sitting out what would have been his rookie season after undergoing microfracture surgery on his right knee, jumped, dunked and took part in offensive plays with his teammates, according to the report.

Greg Oden has packed on 29 pounds of muscle since July. The Trail Blazers recently decided to curb his bulking up and have him focus on building his core strength, according to the Oregonian. He now weighs 282 pounds, which will make him all that more scary if he is able to fully recover from his microfracture surgery.

Greg Oden's rookie season ended before it began, as arthroscopic surgery on Thursday led to a microfracture procedure that will have him sidelined anywhere from six to 12 months, ESPN.com reported. Oden, the No. 1 pick in the 2007 draft, is expected to be on crutches for up to eight weeks.
