Yi Jianlian will miss the final eight games of the regular season with a sprained MCL in his left knee, according to the AP. He’ll need two to three more weeks of rest and rehab before resuming basketball activities. Coach Larry Krystkowiak was optimistic Yi would be ready to play for China in this summer’s Olympics.

Bucks coach Larry Krystkowiak said Yi was feeling better at Wednesday shootaround, but the coach wasn't sure when Yi might return to action. The Bucks' next contest is Saturday. Hopefully we'll see Yi on the court then.

Yi Jianlian will miss his fourth straight game on Tuesday night due to an injured wrist, this according to the AP. Yi is averaging 8.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in a solid rookie season for the Bucks, and the hope is that he will be able to return to action sometime soon.

Yi Jianlian had his sprained right wrist examined by three doctors on Friday, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "It's kind of an indescribable pain, and that's one of the reasons we wanted him to see so many physicians," Bucks coach Larry Krystkowiak said. Results from the exams haven't been released, but the fact that he's hurting badly enough to have it examined by several doctors is concerning.

"He’s having a heck of a time just lifting his elbow up over his head," said coach Larry Krystkowiak. "The day after the game he could hardly move it at all. We’d be taking a pretty good risk by having him play." Yi, who sustained the injury on Saturday, is listed as day-to-day, but it sounds like he'll probably miss some more action. Charlie Villanueva will start in Yi's stead.
