Thaddeus Young will start at power forward for the Sixers as they battle the Pistons in Game 1 on Sunday, according to the Philly Enquirer and Daily News. Coach Mo Cheeks noted that he is looking for more scoring at the power forward position, and is going with Young over Reggie Evans, who started the four games against Detroit in the regular season.

Rookie Thaddeus Young made a step forward this evening in the 76ers' 85-76 loss to the Indiana Pacers. Young went 10-of-19 from the floor and just 1-of-5 from the charity striped to score 21 points, also adding five rebounds and two steals to the effort. Young has scored this high only once this season, but the effort behind youth in Philadelphia could bring him further opportunity next season.

76ers head coach Maurice Cheeks is not sure if Thaddeus Young or Reggie Evans will start on Friday night, the Philadelphia Inquirer notes. Both players will be asked to help handle Hawks forward Josh Smith. Evans typically starts, but Young may be a better matchup.
