Dominic McGuire missed the only shot he took in Monday's win over the Rockeys, but he did everything else well. The power forward finished with seven rebounds, six assists, four blocks, and two steals.

Dominic McGuire started in place of DeShawn Stevenson on Thursday against Cleveland. He finished the game with two points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and a block.

New head coach Ed Tapscott is aiming to turn Dominic McGuire into a defensive stopper off the bench, the Washington Post notes. Tapscott also believes McGuire has made strides on offense. "I think he did a good job this summer of working on certain aspects of his skill set," Tapscott says. "He's shooting the ball with more confidence, he's driving the ball with more confidence, and he's one of the better passers on the team."
