There is still no timetable for Brent Barry's return from an injured calf, the San Antonio Express-News reports. Barry has not appeared in a game since tearing his left calf January 24. There are some thoughts that he may not even be ready for the playoffs.

Brent Barry, who re-signed with the Spurs this week after a month long absence as part of a San Antonio-Seattle trade in February, didn't dress for the Spurs despite Robert Horry's (knee) inactive status. No word yet on when or if the veteran will dress out for his return debut.
March 24, 2008
Brent Barry returned to familiar territory on Monday when he signed an agreement to finish the season with the Spurs. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed, according to the Sports Network. Barry had been dealt to Seattle, along with Francisco Elson and a 2009 first round draft pick, in exchange for Kurt Thomas before the trade deadline. He was then waived by Seattle and the Spurs had to wait one month before they could bring him back.

Brent Barry plans to re-sign with the Spurs, according to the San Antonio Express. Per NBA rules, Barry will have to sit out a month before playing for the Spurs, because they dealt him to the Sonics, who in turn released him. Barry had minimal fantasy impact, anyway, so this shouldn't affect fantasy rosters much.

The San Antonio Express-News reports that it's a race to land Brent Barry , and the candidates include Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Boston and of course the Spurs. Barry was traded from the Spurs to Seattle last week as part of the deal that brought Thomas to San Antonio, and as expected the Sonics released the veteran. If Barry chooses to re-sign with the Spurs, he must wait 30 days per NBA rules. In this scenario Barry loses whatever fantasy value he had.

As expected, the Sonics waived Brent Barry on Friday after acquiring him in a trade on Thursday, according to the Boston Globe. Boston, San Antonio, Phoenix, Denver, Houston, Golden State, and the Lakers are expected to have interest in signing Barry once he becomes a free agent on Monday. In the right spot, he could give some decent triple production in deep leagues.
February 22, 2008
Brent Barry is expected to be bought out by the Sonics, at which point, the Rockets are expected to try to sign him, according to the Houston Chronicle. The Suns and Spurs also likely will make a run at Barry. However, he'd have to sit out a month if he returns to the Spurs, who dealt him to Seattle on Thursday, per league rules.
February 20, 2008
The Sonics acquired Brent Barry in the Thomas deal Wednesday. Barry is currently dealing with a calf injury and isn't expected to be back on the court for another couple weeks. He won't do much for your fantasy team even when he does return.
February 12, 2008
It's not clear when exactly Brent Barry will be able to return from his a strained muscle in his left calf, but it will be at least a couple weeks after the All-Star break, according to the San Antonio Express. Barry has been out since Jan. 26.
January 26, 2008
Brent Barry has a muscle strain in his left calf and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks, the AP reports. Given that he's playing a modest 18.7 minutes per game, fantasy owners probably won't feel too much of a sting from this.

Brent Barry returned to action Thursday after missing nine games with a calf injury. He scored six points over 15 minutes.
