The Pistons are expected to bring Theo Ratliff back into the fold by inking him to a contract for the remainder of the season once he clears waivers on Saturday, according to the Detroit Free Press. Theo Ratliff said he's optimistic that he will be able to practice in a limited fashion sometime this week. The veteran hasn't played since having surgery on Dec. 18 to repair a torn meniscus. "I'm really just playing it by ear," Ratliff said in the Pioneer Press. "Probably in the next couple days I'll try to get out there on the floor and do some stuff with the guys. It's been fine so far as far as recovering. I'm just continuing to try to progress."

Theo Ratliff has been off his crutches for about 7-10 days, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Although the T-Wolves haven't announced a specific timetable for his return from knee surgery, we won't likely see him back on the court until sometime next month.
