Kobe Bryant has been named First-Team All-NBA, according to the Boston Globe. Bryant, who also won the MVP Award, averaged 28.3 points, 6.3 boards, 5.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game this season.

Some call him Mamba, some call him Kobayashi, and we all call him MVP. Regardless of your moniker of choice, there is no denying Kobe Bryant's contributions to the Lakers' 120-110 win over the Utah Jazz in Game 2 of their playoff series. Bryant shot 11-of-18 from the field, 1-of-2 from three-point range, and an outstanding 11-of-12 from the free-throw line to score 34 points, also adding eight rebounds and six assists to the cause.

Kobe Bryant was officially named the 2007-08 MVP on Tuesday, the AP reports. He recieved 82 first place votes and edged out Chris Paul, Kevin Garnett, and LeBron James.
