Derek Fisher was one of many Los Angeles starters to perform poorly in the Lakers Game 3 victory. The veteran shot a meager 1-for-6 and managed just a single assist.

The Los Angeles Lakers have taken a definitive 2-0 lead in their playoff series with the Utah Jazz, bolstered by tonight's 120-110 win in Game 2. Laker PG Derek Fisher put his best foot forward in the win, shooting 7-of-10 from the floor, 4-of-5 from long range, and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line to score 22 points.

Derek Fisher sustained a partial tear of a tendon in his right foot in Wednesday's game. The injury typically requires six to eight weeks of rest, but since the Lakers don't have that kind of time, Fisher will try to play through the pain, according to the LA Times. "If this happened during the middle of the season or something like that, he would probably rest for six to eight weeks in order to heal," Lakers spokesman John Black said. "It's a pain and inflammation thing. If he can play, he'll be on anti-inflammatory and pain medication and try to play through it." This is a bigger blow to the Lakers than it is to fantasy owners, but if you have Fisher, you could be looking at a drop in production.
