The signing of Chris Duhon will allow the Knicks to part ways with Stephon Marbury, according to the New York Times. Sources informed the paper that Marbury's departure is a near certainty. It isn't known if he'll be bought out, traded, or waived.

According to the New York Post, Stephon Marbury feels he has a new lease on his Knicks career with Mike D'Antoni as his new coach. "I'm full throttle," Marbury said. "It's the way I play - up and down. Seven seconds or less. How can I not fit into that? You can push the ball. He's a guard's coach. I still have four, five years at a high level. I'm only 31, not 41."

The Knicks appear to be in the market for a new point guard, either in the draft or via a trade, Newsday reports. The club holds the No. 6 pick in the draft. Italian forward Danilo Gallinari is on their radar, but the Knicks may also look at point guards Russell Westbrook and D.J. Augustin. Trade possibilities include T.J. Ford (Raptors) or Kyle Lowry (Grizzlies). The Newsday report suggests the Knicks may not keep Stephon Marbury around.

Stephon Marbury is excited about the hiring of new head coach Mike D'Antoni. "It's new life. Having a guy who's an upbeat coach, an upbeat style, [it'll] make us play different," Marbury tells the ESPN.com. "I changed my whole workout regimen to get ready for him. I've been doing what Karl Malone did, running up the mountains. I think from watching how the Suns play and the way he allowed Steve Nash to orchestrate certain situations, I could see myself fitting into that."

Mike D'Antoni has agreed to coach the New York Knicks, according to Fox Sports. The deal is reportedly for four years at around $6 million per season.

Stephon Marbury could be back with the Knicks next season. New president Donnie Walsh wants Marbury to come back from his ankle surgery and be the starting point guard in 2008-09. "He told Stephon he wants him back at the same high level he knows he's capable of," a source tells FoxSports.com. "It was positive."

New York Knicks head coach Isiah Thomas has apparently already been told he will not return next season, ending a disastrous two-year tenure on the bench, this according to the Sports Network. The Knicks closed out a 23-59 season on Wednesday with a 132-123 loss to the Indiana Pacers, giving Thomas a record of 56-108 in his two years after replacing Larry Brown.

The surgery that Stephon Marbury underwent late last month turned out to be more complicated that initially believed, according to the New York Post. As a result, he's expected to miss the remainder of the season. He had planned to try to return later this season, but we may now have seen the last of Marbury in Knicks uniform.

Knicks guard Stephon Marbury will miss at least two more games and may need surgery on his left ankle. The AP reported that Marbury must wear a walking boot the next three days after inflammation around a chronically fractured bone spur was found on Monday. He’ll have an MRI later in the week.

Stephon Marbury missed Sunday's game due to a sore left ankle. Coach Isiah Thomas said Marbury sustained the injury on Friday, according to the New York Daily News. Of course, he's also not happy about his role in the offense or his relationship with Zeke, so time will tell when or for how long he'll be back in the lineup.
