The Phoenix Suns want to cut down on not only the minutes played by 34-year-old point guard Steve Nash, but on his games played as well, according to the Arizona Republic. "He's played about 80 games almost every year. I'd like to see that go to 70. I think it'd help Steve to get a night off occasionally," said Suns general manager Steve Kerr.

Suns general manager Steve Kerr has denied a Sports Illustrated report that head coach Mike D'Antoni is on the way out, the Arizona Republic notes. "There's no truth to that," Kerr says. "I asked Mike when the story came out and he denied it. Mike's our coach and has done a great job for four years. We'll get together soon and talk about where this team can go from here."

Steve Nash is currently dealing with some back issues that are the result of a rib slipping out of place, an issue that has plagued him for years, this according to the East Valley Tribune. "I'm hoping I'm on the back end of it now and that by the time the playoffs come I can get past it." Nash will continue to lead the Suns regardless of the bumps and bruises, and he should still put up solid numbers the final week of the NBA season.

Steve Nash continues to round into form as the playoffs approach, shooting 5-of-6 from the floor and 3-of-3 from three-point range to score 14 points, rounded with 11 assists, three rebounds, and one steal. Nash has struggled to meld with the transforming chemistry of this team since Shaquille O'Neal joined the squad, but as the playoffs approach, his game is getting back on track. He's posted double-digit scoring and assist numbers in each of his last two games and has led his team to 10 wins in the Suns' last 14 contests.

Steve Nash poured in a game-high 36 points in a 132-117 win over Denver on Monday night. He also dished out eight assists, with three boards and a steal, while hitting 8-of-12 from long range. That was his highest scoring total since January 22, when he hit 37 points against Milwaukee.

Steve Nash took six shots and only made one of them in a Jason Kidd-esque performance as he still contributed with 13 assists. Nash didn't record a single rebound, hardly Kidd-esque, but don't despair as he will undoubtedly rebound, pun intended, next time out.

"His stomach is still a little uneasy, but he's not nauseous anymore. He isn't fluish anymore. He's getting back to a more normal diet. He anticipates being here for shootaround tomorrow and hopefully going tomorrow night." Keep your fingers crossed, but it sounds like he should be ready to run tonight.
