The score was close and indicates just how great the final game of the Eastern Conference semifinals was, but the failure to seize opportunity on offense by forward Ben Wallace likely cost the Cavs the opportunity to advance, taking the 97-92 defeat from Boston to finish the series, 4-3. Wallace was atrocious in all forms, going 1-for-1 from the floor and 1-for-2 from the free-throw line to score three points with four total assists.

April 3, 2008
Ben Wallace returned to the lineup Thursday after missing two games with back spasms. He played 32 minutes and scored six points on 3-of-6 shooting while picking up eight rebounds, three steals and three blocks. Only LeBron James played more minutes for the Cavs Thursday than Wallace, which is surprising since the team reportedly wanted to take it easy on their center before the playoffs.
April 2, 2008
Ben Wallace will miss tonight's game against the Charlotte Bobcats, according to the Associated Press. Wallace is suffering from back spasms, and while team doctors have cleared him to play, the team wants to take it easy and save him for the playoffs.

Ben Wallace is questionable to play on Wednesday due to his back ailment, according to the Sports Network. Back spasms have really slowed him down as of late, and he could miss his second straight game due to the ailment.
March 30, 2008
Ben Wallace made a surprise return to Cleveland's lineup on Saturday, but only to find a way to 'exit stage right'. Wallace, who missed the Cavs two previous games was considered doubtful heading into the game, but played without issue in the first half before back spasms struck again in the third quarter. Wallace finished the Cleveland loss with six points, five rebounds and two blocks. Anderson Varejao is a better option at this point and will continue to start until Wallace proves himself healthy.
March 29, 2008
The Cavs are listing Ben Wallace as questionable for Saturday's contest, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He's missed the past two games due to back spasms and probably will end up being a game-time call.
March 26, 2008
Ben Wallace did not practice on Tuesday and is listed as out for Wednesday due to back spasms, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. That should mean more work for Anderson Varejao and Joe Smith.
March 22, 2008
Ben Wallace has not traveled with the team for tonight's game against Milwaukee and will not be available to play, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. Wallace will be examined again tomorrow after suffering back spasms in Friday night's game against the Toronto Raptors. His status will be updated as we learn more.
March 22, 2008
Ben Wallace was forced to the sidelines in Friday night's game against the Raptors due to back spasms. The former All Star power forward was unable to return. Wallace finished with six rebounds and just one point in the Cavs victory. Wallace's status for Saturday's game in Milwaukee is considered a game time decision. If Wallace is inactive look for Anderson Varejao to get the start.
March 13, 2008
Ben Wallace was able to suit up and play through his back spasms on Thursday night, and he did an admirable job as he chipped in eight points and eight boards (plus three blocks) over just under 33 minutes of work. Wallace remains an injury risk.
March 12, 2008
Ben Wallace, who exited the Monday night game at the half with back spasms, is questionable against New Jersey tonight, notes the Sports Network. Wallace's best days are lingering in the distance and his injury risk as a fantasy option outweigh any benefit he can offer.
March 11, 2008
Ben Wallace has been slowed by back spasms, according to The Plain Dealer. He was not performing well on Monday night and called it quits in the second quarter due to the ailment. He hoped that his back would loosen up but it never did. This is not the first time his back has given him a problem this season, so he remains a risk going forward.

Ben Wallace notched a double-double in his first game with the Cavs Sunday, recording 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting while picking up 12 rebounds. Considering Wallace entered Sunday's game with just three double-doubles on the year, you have to consider this a very successful debut.
February 22, 2008
Ben Wallace and the rest of the Bulls sent to the Cavs in yesterday's monster, 11-player deal won't be in uniform on Friday, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. As a result, the Cavs are going to have to add some NBDL players just to have a legit eight-man roster. There's a pretty good chance we'll see Big Ben, et al, on the floor for Sunday's matchup with the Griz.

In the second largest trade in league history, three teams moved 11 players. Cleveland received Wally Szczerbiak, Delonte West, Joe Smith and Ben Wallace . Chicago receives Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden, Cedric Simmons and Shannon Brown. The Sonics will receive Adrian Griffin, Donyell Marshall and Ira Newble, this according to the AP. Ben Wallace now becomes an inside presence for the Cavs as they continue to tweak the roster to support King LeBron. Wallace might see a slight bump in his stats which currently sit at 5.1 points and 8.8 rebounds since he will likely play PF instead of C, but this move dosen't figure to drastically alter Wallace's fantasy value.
February 13, 2008
Ben Wallace will miss the Bulls game against the Heat on Thursday due to a death in the family according to the AP. The Bulls shouldn't have a problem beating the Heat anyway, and it's not like a fantasy team can't stand to lose a guy who is averaging barely five points and just under nine rebounds for one game.

Ben Wallace rejected a report on ESPN.com that he was expected to be dealt to the Knicks before the trade deadline, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. When asked if the report was accurate, Wallace said, "Not at all." Quentin Richardson, Malik Rose and Fred Jones reportedly would head to Chicago in the deal. Big Ben's not been playing anywhere near the level required of the monster deal he inked before last season, and the Bulls' season is in the tank, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Wallace moved.
