Jermaine ONeal did not participate in the Monday morning shootaround because he is dealing with a stomach virus, the Indianapolis Star reports. The paper did not mention O'Neal's status for Monday night's tilt against the Wizards.

Jermaine ONeal's minutes remains limited as he returns from a left knee injury. He has not played more than roughly 20 minutes in any of the four games since his return. "I've been told by our medical people that's his limit," head coach Jim O'Brien tells the Indianapolis Star. "He said he felt great. I'm glad he felt great. Maybe we can increase his minutes. When I'm told by our medical people he has 20 minutes, that's what we're going with." We imagine the Pacers staff might rethink the minutes if the club makes the playoffs.

Jermaine ONeal is expected to play on Monday, according to the Indianapolis Star. O'Neal promises to be in the lineup Monday when the Pacers play Miami, making his first appearance since he played nine scoreless minutes against the Warriors on January 16. He won't start, but is expected to play more than 20 minutes. He is averaging 15.3 points per game this season.

Jermaine ONeal wasn't able to return from his knee injury Friday, according to the AP. He feels like he'll be back in the lineup soon, though. “I’m OK,” O'Neal said. “It’s just a matter of them feeling like I can complete a game." It sounds like O'Neal will be able to play next week, but he probably won't be his old self.

Jermaine O'Neal said there is a small chance that he will be ready to return to the hardwood for Friday's game, according to the Indianapolis Star. Monday may be a more realistic target for O'Neal, who has been out since mid January with a bum knee. Once he does return, it likely will take him at least a few games to get up to speed.
March 25, 2008
Jermaine O'Neal has been practicing and expects to return soon, according to the AP. Coach Jim O'Brien said O'Neal simply needs to get his cardiovascular conditioning up to a comfortable level. He's missed 31 games due to his ailing knee, so it's anyone's guess whether he'll be able to perform well or finish the season if he does return.
February 24, 2008
Jermaine O'Neal is getting closer to taking part in full practices, according to the Indianapolis Star. "Obviously there's a little bit more work to be done, but now I can start picking it up," he said. "The goal right now is to start practicing, and once I get to practicing, the next goal would be to play. It can be as long as three to four weeks or sooner depending on the progression. We've seen great strides in the last few days." O'Neal hasn't laced up for a game since the middle of last month, and you shouldn't hold your breath waiting for him to hit the floor, but this is at least positive news.

Jermaine O'Neal missed his 16th straight game on Saturday night with a nagging knee injury. The veteran forward has no timetable for his return.
February 17, 2008
David Aldridge of TNT told the networks Saturday NBA audience that a three-team deal among the Kings, Denver and Indiana would have brought Pacers forward Jermaine ONeal to Sacramento, according to the SacBee. Kings basketball president Geoff Petrie, however, refuted the rumor saying that he was not involved in any three-team discussions, nor was he pursuing O'Neal.
February 14, 2008
Jermaine ONeal likely won't be traded this season because of continued concerns over his knee according to a report in the Star Ledger. Rumors are circulating that he could be moved to the Nets for Vince Carter, but with the whole Jason Kidd scenario also in play, it's virtually impossible to discern how this will play out.
February 9, 2008
Pacers coach Jim O'Brien said he expects Jermaine O'Neal to return to action sometime after the All-Star break, according to the Indianapolis Star. He also said he expects O'Neal to stay with the Pacers, despite the constant trade rumors. It could be tough to deal him before he gets back on the hardwood, and since the trade deadline is just four days after the All-Star game, O'Brien may be right. Stay tuned, though, because this isn't the last of the O'Neal trade talk.
February 8, 2008
Jermaine O'Neal said that the Pacers are having trade talks with several teams, according to the New York Daily News. O'Neal added that he would gladly accept a trade to New York, where he would join his old coach, Isiah Thomas. O'Neal and Zeke have a lot of love for each other, but Pacers' head Larry Bird does not have any love for Zeke, so a deal to the Big Apple may be unlikely. O'Neal isn't playing right now due to his sore knee, which won't help the Pacers get much value for O'Neal, but there's a decent chance he gets dealt before the deadline.
January 22, 2008
A day after saying he would sit out the rest of the season to help his knee heal, Jermaine ONeal told the Associated Press that sitting out the season was a “worst-case scenario” and refused to put a timetable on his return. The Pacers said on Saturday that O’Neal would miss two weeks, and O’Neal said before that game he might have come back too soon from offseason surgery.

Jermaine O'Neal will be out at least two weeks as he deals with a bruised left knee, the AP reports. A MRI on Thursday afternoon revealed the injury. Earlier this week, O'Neal said he was not fully healed from knee surgery to repair torn meniscus cartilage last April. He said he was surprised the healing process has been so slow.
January 19, 2008
Jermaine O'Neal, who has been battling a constant knee problem, is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Kings, according to the Indianapolis Star. If O'Neal is unable to go, Troy Murphy will likely get the start.
January 12, 2008
Jermaine O'Neal returned to action Saturday and played 34 minutes. He missed the previous game with a knee injury.
