Erick Dampier made his season debut Tuesday, coming back from offseason shoulder surgery, the AP reports. Dampier finished with seven points and seven rebounds in 12 minutes off the bench.

Mavericks center Erick Dampier, who has been out after right shoulder surgery this offseason, will have a full practice for the first time on Tuesday according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. However, there is still no timetable for his return. I dont want to rush him back, coach Avery Johnson said. Hes just goin to get better and better, hopefully stronger and stronger, and somewhere down the line hell make his grand entrance.

Erick Dampier did some things in Mavericks practice on Thursday as he continues to rehab his surgically repaired right shoulder. The Dallas Morning News reported that there still is no timetable for his return, which could be anywhere from mid-November to mid-December. Coach Avery Johnson said Dampier would likely be ready for contact in another week or so.

Mavericks center Erick Dampier may miss the start of the regular season, the Dallas Morning News reported. Dampier, who is coming off right shoulder surgery, has a doctor visit next week, then may start running on a treadmill. He has been limited in his off-season work since mid-June. "They initially thought it was just a little tear, but when they got in there, it was a little bit more," Dampier said. "Everything went well. Now I'm just recovering from it and we've been pretty conservative."

Erick Dampier underwent surgery Friday to repair a small tear in his right rotator cuff, according to the Dallas Morning News. He could be limited in training camp and perhaps the start of the season. He really has little fantasy value, anyway.
