We reached the half and appeared to be on our way to an entertaining matchup, but the end of the 3rd quarter, the San Antonio Spurs had all but surrendered to the New Orleans Hornets, falling 101-79 in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinal battle. Team general forward Tim Duncan went 5-for-18 from the floor and just 0-for-1 at the free-throw line to score 10 points.

The San Antonio Spurs closed their 1st-round playoff series with the Phoenix Suns this evening, handing the Suns the 92-87 failure after an ugly game with bad shooting and mishandled basketballs that has the Spurs moving to the next round while the Suns wonder what could have been. The Spurs turned to veteran leader Tim Duncan once more, and once more he got the job done, going 13-of-28 from the field to score 29 points, adding 17 rebounds and three blocked shots.

Coming into the playoff, the fans of the NBA speculated that the mighty defending champion San Antonio Spurs would struggle, for their leader and catalyst on both ends of the floor, Tim Duncan, has slowed a step or two and was struggling to produce at a top level. Those questions may have been answered today as Duncan shot 16-for-24 from the floor and 7-for-12 from the charity stripe to score 40 points, also adding 15 rebounds and three blocked shots.

Tim Duncan continues to push his San Antonio Spurs towards another strong playoff campaign, tonight leading his team to a 97-88 victory over the LA Clippers. Duncan went 8-of-10 from the field and 10-of-13 from the charity stripe to finish with 26 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and two blocks. Each season seems to be another MVP campaign for Duncan, the best player on the best team in the land. Tonight was no exception.

Duncan, a career 68.2% shooter from the foul-line made 9 of 10 shots from the charity stripe on the night in a spectacular all-around effort.

The Spurs cruised to a 108-97 victory over the Pacers that saw Tim Duncan limited to just 24 minutes of action as a result of the big lead as he scored a miserable six points and added 12 boards in the win. This was the second time in four games that Duncan failed to record at least 10 points, though he has still pulled in 12 boards or more in 3-straight outings.

Tim Duncan scored a game-high 31 points on Thursday night on 12-for-20 from the field and 7-for-10 from the line. Duncan also pulled down 15 boards and turned the ball over just one time as the Spurs defeated the Mavs 97-94. Duncan may not be the prettiest player ever to lace 'em up, but there have been few players as effective. Duncan is money as you just wind him up and let him go, and he has given you another season of all-star level of production up until this point.

Tim Duncan had another fantastic night almost recording a triple-double with 24 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists on Thursday night. He also blocked four shots for good measure. In each of the past six games Duncan has totaled at least 13 boards and for the month of February he is averaging 13.4 rebounds over eight games.

Tim Duncan banged knees with Corey Maggette late during Sunday's game. "It went numb for a little bit," Duncan said, according to the San Antonio Express. "It will probably swell up, but we'll see how it is tomorrow." He was hopeful about lacing up for Monday's run against the Warriors. It sounds like he didn't sustain anything serious.
