Tim Duncan returned to action Saturday night against Denver. He had missed the last four games with a sprained right ankle. Duncan played 20 minutes in his return, putting up points with five rebounds.

Tim Duncan was listed as probable on Monday, but did not play on Tuesday against Golden State and is doubtful for Thursday’s game against the Lakers, the San Antonio Express-News reported. "I just think he’s not 100 percent, that's for sure," coach Gregg Popovich told the paper. "This early in the season, I'm not sure what the wisdom is in playing him when he’s 75 or 80 percent.

Spurs forward Tim Duncan is officially listed as a game-time decision for Tuesday’s game against the Warriors, but the San Antonio Express-News reported that Duncan’s sprained right ankle made it through another full practice without incident on Monday and he is expected to return. The team will wait to see how he responds to Tuesday’s shootaround before making a final decision.

Although he has returned to practice and by all accounts looked ready to go, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich told the San Antonio Express-News that Tim Duncan ’s return from a sprained right ankle is doubtful for Friday. Instead, Popovich prefers to rest Duncan one more game, meaning he will be back in the lineup Tuesday at Golden State.

Spurs forward Tim Duncan had an MRI that come back negative on his injured right ankle on Monday, and the star forward looks as if he should return in the next few games. Duncan sprained the ankle and bruised his right knee during the game against the Trailblazers on Sunday.

Tim Duncan left Sunday's game against Portland after suffering a bruised right knee and sprained right ankle, according to the AP. The team said all of Duncan's ligaments appeared stable but that he would have an MRI on Monday. We should know more about the injury on Monday, but it appears likely he'll miss some time.

Spurs forward Tim Duncan agreed to a two-year, $40 million contract extension on Tuesday, the AP reported. The agreement adds to Duncan’s existing three-year deal and will last through the 2011-12 season.

The Spurs opted to rest Tim Duncan for the playoffs by sitting him out of Monday's game. Coach Gregg Popovich also decided to sit Tony Parker and Manu Gibobili, since they already have locked up the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
