Chauncey Billups is expected to be ready for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, according to the AP. Coach Flip Saunders commented that Billups looked good enough in practice Thursday that he could have played if there was a game. Billups missed the last two games against the Magic with a strained right hamstring.

Contradicting earlier reports, it now looks as if Chauncey Billups will not play in Game 5 because of a strained right hamstring, according to the Associated Press.

After watching Chauncey Billups participate in Tuesday morning's shootaround, team GM Joe Dumars said he thinks Billups will play in Game 5, according to ESPN. Dumars commented, "He was moving pretty good. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I think he's going to try to give it a go tonight. That's what it looks like. But he looked really good today in shootaround." Dumars added, "We truly err on the side of caution here. We never try to push a guy out on the court and try to make him play. Chauncey's a guy who understands this. He's not the kind of guy who's going to go out there and do anything crazy and try it and hurt himself. If he plays, that means he really feels good enough to play. If he doesn't play, it's simply because he's saying, 'You now what, I don't want to risk anything."

With Chauncey Billups out of Game 4, the Pistons got a solid combined fill-in effort from rookie guard Rodney Stuckey and veteran Lindsey Hunter. They combined for 14 points and six helpers.

Chauncey Billups is feeling better, but is yet to be cleared to play in Game 5 tonight, according to the Orlando Sentinel. He strained his hamstring back in Game 3, and sat out Game 4 due to the ailment. Strength and conditioning coach Arnie Kander said, "My key with this is no setbacks from day to day. If you look at it three or four days ago and compare it to today, it's night and day. He's running good and feeling good. He needs to be confident enough in his rehabilitation to play again."

Billups is feeling better, but said, "It's still tough to say because it's a soft-tissue injury. It's very restrictive. Even when I try to walk kind of fast, it's restrictive. It's tough. You have to be careful." He is being slowed by a strained right hamstring.

Billups said, "I am feeling a little better today, but it's still tough to say whether I will be ready to play in Game 4 Saturday. It's a soft tissue injury and it's tough. It's very restrictive. Even when I just try to walk fast, it's restrictive. I have to be careful." Pistons' physical therapist Arnie Kander said, "The fact that he has improved this quickly is a great sign. Usually Day 2 after you irritate a muscle feels terrible. That fact that he is walking normally is really positive."

Chauncey Billups is still sore (due to a strained right hamstring) and isn't sure if he can play in Game 4 on Saturday, according to the AP. He said, "Just going to take it one day at a time and see what happens. But it’s feeling sore, kind of similar to last night. I felt a little something. I’m just hoping it was a strain, what I felt. But I felt something in there. I never really had a hamstring like this before."

Billups left Wednesday’s loss in Game 3 early in the first quarter, and will have a precautionary MRI on his strained right hamstring Thursday. Coach Flip Saunders said, "We’re shooting for him to play on Saturday. He’s sore right now. We won’t know for the next 24 hours where he’s really at. But all indications are that we’re shooting for him to play Saturday."

Tonight, they have taken a step in the right direction with a 98-81 victory over the Sixers, taking a 3-2 lead in the series. The push to move forward is once again led by guard Chauncey Billups , shooting 7-of-14 from the floor, 3-of-6 from the three-point line, and 4-of-6 from the free-throw line to score a team-high 21 points, also adding a team-high 12 assists.

The Detroit Pistons continue to trim minutes and build rest for their top commodities with no single player earning more than 25 minutes in today’s 84-91 win over the Toronto Raptors. Rookie guard Rodney Stuckey topped all efforts with 5-of-9 from the field and 8-of-8 from the charity stripe to record 18 points. Chauncey Billups totaled 14 points, Rodney “Rip” Hamilton scored 12, and Rasheed Wallace scored 4. No single player on the Detroit roster gathered double-digit totals in rebounding or assists.

Once again the Pistons are limiting their starters' minutes and played most of the bench. Twelve total players received minutes on Wednesday night as the Pistons lost 96-92 to the Philadelphia 76ers. Chauncey Billups recorded the most minutes (29) for the Pistons and led the team in points scored (18). The Pistons player personnel have become fantasy unfriendly because of how they're being used.

Chauncey Billups went just 3-of-14 from the field and 1-of-5 from long range to score 11. Rasheed Wallace went just 3-of-11 from the floor and 0-of-5 from three-point range to score 6. Chauncey Billups will return to game action on Friday as he missed the Pistons last game simply to rest and prepare for the playoffs, this according to the Detroit News. In addition to Billups, Richard Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace should also be back on Friday. There is nothing wrong with a team resting its guys for the playoffs, but it would be nice if they gave us a heads up before they chose to do so. In this case, you have a couple of days to make sure the Pistons starters are in your starting lineup.

Chauncey Billups was deactivated for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves, according to the Detroit Free Press. Billips doesn't have an injury we're aware of, so the Pistons could just be resting him before the playoffs. We'll fill you in on his situation when more is known.

Chauncey Billups scored 32 points on Monday night including nine points in OT to lead the Pistons to a 110-105 victory over the Suns. Billups also distributed six assists on the night. Billups continues to be the main cog in the Pistons engine and tonight was no different as he had ice in his veins from the free-throw line where he made 15 of 16 shots.

Billups has been the man for the Pistons this season, but his effort failed to put Garnett and company on the ropes.

It's not clear if he will rejoin the Pistons in time for Saturday's game, though he's currently listed as questionable. Chauncey Billups, who received a bump on the head on Sunday, shouldn't miss any time moving forward, this according to a report on the Detroit Free Press. Billups was on the receiving end of an Amare Stoudemire elbow, but he should be fine. Billups is obviously the heart and soul of the Pistons, and the engine that keeps that vehicle moving will remain active so continue to leave him active.

Chauncey Billups scored 21 points and handed out 12 assists in the Pistons 127-100 victory over the Bucks. Every Piston player scored at least three points in the team's biggest offensive output in regulation since March 8, 2000. Billups is working on a third straight season of at least 17 points and seven assists as the heart and soul of the Pistons.
