Troy Hudson is slated to undergo surgery next week to repair his damaged hip. He's expected to need three to four months of recovery time, according to the Contra Costa Times. That means he'll probably miss the remainder of the season, though he could make a late-season cameo.

Warriors guard Troy Hudson’s hip injury could be career ending, according to coach Don Nelson. “I think Troy is probably done. I don’t think he’ll play again,“ said Nelson on Wednesday. Troy Hudson is out indefinitely with a hip problem. "Over the past few days, it's just really been flaring up," Hudson said, according to the Contra Costa Times. "I tried to do treatment, do exercises and play through it, but it's limiting me so much that there's no sense in me being out there." Hudson's going to be a non-factor with the Warriors, anyway, so you won't be missing anything in fantasy terms.

In the wake of Kevin Garnett’s trade, the Minnesota Timberwolves also came to a buyout agreement with point guard Troy Hudson. The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that Hudson will receive approximately 80 percent of the $12.256 million owed to him over the next two seasons. Hudson had two guaranteed years remaining on his deal plus a third that would have kicked in had he met performance goals. The deal is for 80 percent of the guaranteed years.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that Hudson’s agent, Bill Neff, is expected to submit a buyout proposal as early as Monday to settle the three years, $19 million left on his deal. Hudson is reportedly seeking 85 to 90 percent of his remaining contract. The Wolves made a much lower offer last week.

Troy Hudson wants to play elsewhere next season. Hudson’s agent, Bill Neff, told the AP that he has contacted Minnesota owner Glen Taylor and requested the team try to move his client. It won’t be easy, though, as Hudson signed a six-year, $37 million contract following the 2002-03 season, but has started just 39 games the last four seasons and averaged 5.9 points and 2.1 assists in 34 games last year. Hudson has been plagued by injuries.
