Dirk Nowitzki could miss tonight's important game against the Warriors, according to the Houston Chronicle. He went through the morning shootaround but stated, "The work today wasn't great. I'm still sore in a couple of movements. I've got to be pain-free. If I can't move out there and cut and try to defend and move my feet, it really doesn't make any sense to try to get out there. Just hobbling around wouldn't help anybody. I would rather have somebody out there that can go and give 100 percent." He is averaging 23.6 points and 8.8 boards per game and his services will be missed if he rides the pine.

In the Mavs' 118-93 win over Charlotte, Dirk Nowitzki served as the catalyst for all things offensive, scoring 26 points with nine rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Nowitzki has taken some time to get chemistry working with new PG Jason Kidd and the numbers have shown little-to-no improvement since that trade. Dirk is always going to post numbers, but the hope that accompanied the trade for Kidd has yet to materialize in reality.

Dirk Nowitzki scored a season-high 37 points to lead the Mavericks to a 96-76 victory over the Blazers. Dirk had 13 points in the first period and 20 by halftime as he hit 13 of 26 shots and went 9-for-10 from the free throw line on the night. He also tossed in 12 rebounds for good measure. February 10, 2008
Teams will take note of what New Jersey did to Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki on Sunday night. Nets' Josh Boone and rookie Sean Williams hounded Nowitzki limiting the All-Star to 21 points on a miserable 4-of-16 shooting performance. Nowitzki, who scored 11 points in the opening quarter could only muster 10 points in the final three. The Dallas go-to forward recorded eight rebounds and four assists in a losing effort. When it comes to dogging a player that scores 21 points and misses a double-double by only two rebounds -- one knows expectations are high for that player. Nowitzki is such a player, and in the "Duh" category, is a must start as long as the German can dress.
