Dirk Nowitzki was back in the mix Friday night after missing most of Wednesday's game with an ankle injury. Nowitzki scored 20 points (7-for-14 FG) and grabbed 12 rebounds in the 115-83 rout of the Clippers.

Dirk Nowitzki missed most of last night's game after spraining his left ankle. X-rays were negative, and he'll be examined further today, according to the Star-Telegram. "Whenever this happens, at first it always scares you," Nowitzki said. "But I’ve done this a thousand times before, and the doctor told me it’s just a sprain, and I know I’ll be all right."

"Everybody knows I don't really like to sit out," Nowitzki said Thursday after doing some work on an exercise bike. "It's nothing major, so hopefully I'll be back in action Friday. If it comes back, I'll have to sit down."

The extension is believed to be worth $59.38 million
