Jazz forward Matt Harpring will not play in preseason games until further notice because his recovery from right knee surgery in August is going slower than expected. The Salt Lake Tribune also reported that it was just revealed that Harpring had left ankle surgery in September. Harpring said there is still pain in his knee, but he hopes to play in a couple of games at the end of the preseason and be ready for opening night.

Jazz forward Matt Harpring spent the last week on crutches with his right knee wrapped up following a minor knee surgery, but the Deseret News reports that Harpring is happy with the results. They went in and said this is the best my knee has looked, so Im kind of happy, Harpring said. The surgery was performed to clean out scar tissue in the knee. Hes had a pair of microfracture surgeries on the knee in the past. Harpring expects to be back running in six to eight weeks and be ready for training camp at full speed.
