Damon Jones sat out practice on Wednesday with a right heel injury that can only heal with rest, according to the Miami Herald. "His injury's tough because it is totally affected by every step he takes on it," Heat coach Stan Van Gundy said. "Every time that heel hits the ground, he's affected by it. He needs some time off, and I don't know what his timetable will be."

Damon Jones has been slumping enough that his starting point guard job with the Heat is in jeopardy, according to the Miami Herald. "Of course we've thought about [a lineup change]," coach Stan Van Gundy said. "We have a guy who has not played well for a couple of weeks here. It's been a very long stretch. When that translates into the team losing games, and we've lost five out of nine, as a coach, you start looking at everything. When I think there's a better answer, I'll go to it."
