As expected, Lamar Odom has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL in his right knee, an injury sustained during Tuesday's game, according to the AP. He is expected to miss at least the next month while recovering. Odom has averaged 18.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game this season.

Lamar Odom suffered a moderate sprain to the MCL in his right knee last night, according to the LA Times. The Lakers haven't announced a timetable for his return, but it likely will be weeks. When asked when he might back in the mix, Odom said, "I have no idea. Maybe a week or two. Hopefully that's it. I've never had a problem with my knees." Brian Cook or Vladamir Radmanovic should start in place of Odom.

Lamar Odom sprained his right knee in the first quarter of Tuesday's game against the Rockets, according to the AP. He landed awkwardly after Shane Battier blocked his shot on a drive. The Lakers said Odom was taken to a hospital for an MRI.

Assistant coach Brian Shaw has told Odom to shoot at least 14 times per game. Odom took 14 shots and scored 18 points in Wednesday's win.
