Baron Davis scored just two points during 23 minutes of action Sunday. With his injury history you may have feared the worst, but the Pistons blew the game open early, so coach Don Nelson pulled most of his starters early to rest up for Monday.

Warriors point guard Baron Davis wants a six-year contract extension this offseason. According to the Oakland Tribune, Davis will be eligible for an additional four years on the end of his contract – which currently has two years remaining – on July 1. Davis is slated to make $16.4 million next season and $17.8 million in 2008-09. “For a while, I always wanted to get back to home and be in L.A., just because of my comfort and feeling stable being around family and friends,” Davis told the paper. “But the way I look at it in my career, and the things that I’m trying to achieve as a basketball player both on and off the court, I feel like the Bay Area is a great fit for me.”

After reviewing Baron Davis' elbow to Derek Fisher’s head, the NBA upgraded the foul against Davis to a flagrant category 2 foul, but decided not to suspend him. “It was a relief,” Davis told ESPN.com. “But I didn’t think I was going to get suspended anyway. I didn’t feel that I should have been suspended.”

After Baron Davis posterized Andrei Kirilenko on Friday night, he pulled up his shirt in celebration and was tagged with his fifth technical of the postseason. If he picks up two more, he'll face an automatic one-game suspension.

"It just got stiff and sore," Davis said. "I want to be cautious about it, knowing that we have a back-to-back. It was just one of those days where it took longer than expected for my knee to get right. ... At times, there's some side effects from the knee that's telling me I'm not all the way there yet."

He's dealing with a sore knee, though an MRI taken Thursday on the joint was inconclusive. Regardless, you know Davis is going to miss action due to injuries, so you'll have to suck it up in the interim.

Baron Davis played 31 minutes yesterday despite injuring both wrists the night before, according to the Contra Costa Times. "My left one's been hurting since the Orlando game (on Dec. 22), so I kind of reaggravated that, but I got a little bit more range (in that one). It's just sore when I extend it," Davis said. "My right has no range of motion at all. ... I'm going to just tape it up like a boxer." You know Davis is going to get injured, so hopefully you already traded him away when he was healthy.
