Coach Byron Scott said Saturday that James Posey will earn most of his minutes this year at the backup power forward spot, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "Obviously on offense we can spread people out, it's a little bit smaller, quicker and better defensively,'' Scott said. "You really have a few ballhandlers out there, and Posey can play against most any fours (power forwards) and they are going have to guard him. It gives us a good leader out there with Pose. He gets after guys defending them every single play. That is what I think is our best lineup so far.''

"Before we signed (free agent) James Posey, we had 12-to-1 odds to win the championship, which isn't bad. After we signed him, it went to 6 to 1. I will take any day to be one of the top six," Shinn said.

"Certainly he needs to listen to everyone, but he really hopes that (the Celtics) want him back as much as he wants to stay there," Mark Bartlestein informs the Boston Herald. "The bottom line is that we want to get it done. The thing (that impressed) Posey is that the fans in Boston are so educated, they understand why he’s so valuable, and how his play shows with things that aren’t on the stat sheet."
