Rockets guard Rafer Alston was cleared to play in 2009 after tests ruled out a potential heart condition, according to SI.com.

Rafer Alston will stand trial in October on a charge of driving while intoxicated, according to the Houston Chronicle. Defense attorney Rusty Hardin said, "We just wanted to get it done soon." Hardin added that he expects the trial to take about two days.

Rockets guard Rafer Alston's surgically repaired ankle is healing, as he was able to run and make cuts in the gym on Tuesday, according to NBA.com. Alston believes he will be able to resume basketball activities in a short time, though he has not yet been cleared.
