The Trail Blazers have requested waivers on forward Darius Miles, the Oregonian confirms. Miles hasn't played in a game since April 15, 2006 due to a right knee injury. "This allows Darius and the Trail Blazers to move forward and achieve closure to this matter. To his credit, Darius worked hard to come back, but his body just didn't allow it to happen," general manager Kevin Pritchard says.

Darius Miles is out for the season after undergoing surgery on his right knee Tuesday, according to the AP. It was thought that Miles would need only arthroscopic surgery to repair the knee, but the procedure uncovered the need for additional surgery.

Darius Miles will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee next Tuesday and will be out indefinitely, according to the AP. The extent of the surgery and the recovery time has not been determined, according to a statement released by the team. Miles, who had surgery on the same knee last December, has been unable to practice or play due to problems with the knee. The overpaid Miles should not be on a fantasy team at this point.
