The AP reports that Oklahoma City Thunder swingman Desmond Mason will not play in Mondays game against the Houston Rockets thanks to an elbow injury. Mason injured the elbow in the fourth quarter of Saturdays loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Swingman Desmond Mason will miss Saturday's preseason game due to a left knee contusion suffered on Friday, the Oklahoman reports.

The Bucks are "leaning heavily" towards picking small forward Joe Alexander with the No. 8 pick, the Newark Star-Ledger reports. The 6-8 Alexander averaged 16.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in his junior year at West Virginia.

Desmond Mason just missed a double-double Friday night as he ended with 15 points and nine boards. He also notched four assists and two steals. Mason is now averaging 14.4 points over his last four games.

Desmond Mason is set to return to action on Saturday, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. He's been out for six weeks due to a torn ligament in his left thumb. With Michael Redd out of the mix, Mason may even see enough action to make a little fantasy noise in his return.
