Bobcats win fifth straight, top Hawks convincingly Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Gerald Wallace scored a game-high 21 points
and grabbed seven rebounds, as the Charlotte Bobcats hung on to defeat the
Atlanta Hawks, 98-91, at the Time Warner Cable Arena.
Emeka Okafor and Raymond Felton added 17 points apiece for the Bobcats, who
now hold a season-high five-game winning streak. Okafor also had 11 boards,
while Felton dished out 10 assists. Boris Diaw and Raja Bell ended with 13
points and 11 points, respectively.
Charlotte hasn't recorded five straight victories since March 2-8 of last
season.
Raja Bell carried the Bobcats with 24 points in Friday's 103-83 win over the Hawks. He also chipped in one rebound and four assists. He made 5-of-6 shots from three-point range.
Bobcats' point guard D.J. Augustin was limited in practice on Wednesday due to a sprained left ankle, according to the Charlotte Observer. Augustin participated in shooting drills at the end of the session and said he doesn't believe the injury is serious.
D.J. Augustin came off the bench to score 21 points on Monday as the Bobcats downed the Nets 79-68. Augustin had one rebound and two assists as well in the win.
