Pistons keep Herrmann Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) - The Detroit Pistons re-signed forward
Walter Herrmann on Monday.
The 29-year-old came to the Pistons in December of 2007 with Primoz Brezec in
a trade that sent Nazr Mohammed to the Charlotte Bobcats.
"We are pleased to re-sign Walter Herrmann," said president of basketball
operations Joe Dumars. "Walter is a player with tremendous work ethic and
showed last year that he is a player that can contribute to this team."
Last season in 45 games with the Pistons and Bobcats, Herrmann averaged 3.4
points and 1.6 rebounds.More...
Richard Hamilton came off the bench to play 21 minutes in the first Pistons preseason game of 2008, and he recorded 12 points, two rebounds and three assists.
Rodney Stuckey scored a team high 23 points off the bench on Sunday in the Pistons 95-91 victory over the Heat in their first preseason game. On this night he proved that he can cause some serious damage as he also had four boards and five assists before fouling out.
Rasheed Wallace (foot) was able to full practice on Saturday after being limited on Friday, according to MLive. Wallace will start for the Pistons on Sunday night.
