Hornets extend lease, but could still opt out of agreement New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - The New Orleans Hornets and the state of
Louisiana reached a deal Wednesday that extends the team's lease through 2014,
but provisions in the agreement could allow the club to leave after next
season.
The Hornets agreed to a two-year extension, covering the two years lost during
the team's relocation to Oklahoma City following Hurricane Katrina. However,
certain benchmarks included means the team can choose to renegotiate or opt
out of the agreement if attendance falls below 14,735 between December 1, 2007

David West scored 10 points before having to leave Game 6 in obvious discomfort after taking a hard pick from Robert Horry, according to the Associated Press. West, who pinched a nerve in Game 5, was taken to the locker room in obvious pain.
Tyson Chandler bruised his left foot on Tuesday night, but he says he's be ready for Game 6 on Thursday. "I landed funny, and I kind of lost feeling in it," Chandler tells the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "But I'll be fine."
