Sonics' Sene has surgery
Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Seattle SuperSonics center Mouhamed Sene underwent surgery earlier this week to repair a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee, the team announced Thursday.

Sene had the surgery April 14, during which doctors discovered a chondral defect that required microfracture surgery. He will be on crutches for six weeks and will have continual evaluation.

The former first-round draft choice -- 10th overall in 2006 -- injured the knee during an NBA Development League game on April 4, while playing for the Idaho Stampede.
