Raptors top Magic, cut series to 2-1 Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - T.J. Ford and Jose Calderon were the
catalysts behind Toronto's 108-94 victory over the Orlando Magic, as their
combined 39 points, 12 rebounds and 16 assists gave the Raptors a much-needed
win in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.
The Magic lead the series, 2-1, with Game 4 scheduled for Saturday at Air
Canada Centre.
Ford was a force in the first half and Calderon was at his best in the second.

The Raptors front office and coaching staff is hoping Andrea Bargnani can turn into more of a complete player this offseason. The 22-year-old big man and former first overall pick has been one-dimensionl (jump shot) during his first two years. "If he doesn't work, it's not going to happen," Chris Bosh tells the Toronto Sun. "Some nights, if he doesn't shoot the ball well, he's not a factor. He has to develop the mentality to get down low. Because he's seven-feet. Get down low, get some easy baskets, block some shots, get some rebounds -- be a force in the game even if you're not making shots."
T.J. Ford is under contract for at least two more years, but the Raptors may not bring him back for the 2008-09 season, the Toronto Star reports. The club is intent on signing restricted free agent Jose Calderon, who often outplayed Ford this season.
