Wizards' Stevenson has successful surgery San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - The Washington Wizards announced Friday
that guard DeShawn Stevenson underwent successful surgery to repair a
herniated disc.
Stevenson has missed 29 games this season due to lower back pain and is
averaging 6.6 points and 3.1 assists per game in 32 contests. He will begin
his rehabilitation in two weeks, but won't be able to resume basketball
activity for another three-to-four months.
The 23rd overall pick of the 2000 draft by Utah, Stevenson is averaging 8.6
points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 581 career... More...
Wizards' guard Mike Miller left Wednesday night's loss to the Heat with a shoulder injury, according to the Washington Post. The team expects Miller to miss 7-to-10 days at least with the injury.
Caron Butler finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds on Wednesday as the Wizards fell to the Heat by four points. Butler was 6-of-13 from the field in the game.
