Joey Galloway has officially been ruled out for Sunday's regular-season finale. Not a big surprise here, as coach John Gruden doesn't want to risk making his wide receiver's shoulder injury worse, and Galloway will benefit from the extra rest.

Joey Galloway was injured while making his only catch Sunday, a 29-yarder. Galloway aggravated an ailing left shoulder injury and did not return to the game, according to the St. Petersburg Times. The Bucs didn't believe it would be a long-term issue, but it's safe to assume they'll hold him out of Week 17 as a precaution.

Buccaneers wideout Joey Galloway was limited in practice Wednesday because of a team decision, according to the official injury report. He will be rested most Wednesdays during the season, so dont fret about his availability for this week.

Joey Galloway will spend some times on special teams as a punt returner, according to the St. Petersburg Times. He and Ike Hilliard will split the punt return duties now that the team has released Mark Jones.
