Updating a previous report, the Seattle Seahawks will place offensive tackle Walter Jones on injured reserve, ending his 2009 season, according to the Twitter page of beat writer Danny O'Neil. Jones did not play this year due to complications after microfracture knee surgery.

The Tacoma News Tribune is reporting that Seahawks' offensive lineman Walter Jones will not play this week due to continued soreness in his knee. Head coach Jim Mora indicated that a team has set a deadline for the team to decide if Jones will at all this season, but he would not reveal what that date is.
