Ricky Proehl might have to take on an expanded role with the Colts missing Brandon Stokley and Dallas Clark, according to the team's official site. Proehl, a 38-year-old veteran who left retirement to sign with the Colts at the end of November, caught two passes for 23 yards against Jacksonville last week.

Ricky Proehl has agreed to a one-year contract with the Colts, his agent told the AP. The team has yet to make an announcement. The Colts have been without Brandon Stokley for most of the year, and there's concern that the injury to Dallas Clark may be serious. Proehl, 38, played 16 years in the NFL, most recently with Carolina, before retiring after the 2005 season.
