Fred Taylor was the AFC leading rusher among running backs. Taylor carried the ball three times for 15-yards. Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger led the AFC in rushing with his one carry for 18-yards. Fred's first Pro Bowl wasn't a memorable one from a statistical standpoint.

Fred Taylor was limited to 48 yards on 16 carries at Pittsburgh Saturday, though he did have a 1-yard scoring plunge. He wasn't used much in the passing game, as usual, catching one ball for two yards.

Fred Taylor continues to share the workload with Maurice Jones-Drew, and while he may not be a big fan of the system he’s not going to complain. “We’re winning games,” Taylor told the Florida Times-Union. “I’m not going to start riff-raff. I don’t want to mess up what’s going on. I’m a running back. Naturally, you want the ball. At the same time, we have a certain chemistry going on. As long as we’re winning, I’m fine with it.”

Both Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew missed portions of Friday's practice. Taylor has a sore groin and MJD is dealing with a sore thigh, according to the Florida Times-Union. Both are listed as probable and are expected to be set for Monday's game. It looks like the Jags are just being cautious with their running backs as they prepare to face the Colts.

Fred Taylor was able to suit up Sunday despite his strained groin and rushed for a season-high 90 yards on six carries. However, he took part in only two plays in the second half, according to the Florida Times-Union. "I'm good," Taylor said after the game. "Coming out at halftime, my legs just locked up in the adductor area [of the groin], both sides. For the whole third quarter, they were locked up. When I finally got them to loosen up for me, it was a given that we were gonna win the game. So it didn't make any sense to get back in there." 76 of his 90 total rushing yards came on his first carry, so aside from that he was held in check. Meanwhile, Maurice Jones-Drew racked up 184 total yards and two touchdowns. We'll have to wait to see how Taylor holds up in practice this week before getting an idea of whether he'll be able to play in Week 7.
