The Florida Times-Union reports that Fred Taylor probably will not take part in the season finale on Sunday due to his sprained knee. He did some work in practice Thursday, but coach Jack Del Rio said Taylor was "very questionable" for the game.

Fred Taylor said yesterday he played the first six games this season with a fractured toe, according to the Florida Times-Union. A Jaguars spokesman said the injury actually was a "pre-stress fracture" and that Taylor was rested the last two preseason games to keep it from becoming a stress fracture. Regardless, the injury may have played a role, as Taylor didn't hit 100 yards in those games and has done so twice since.

Fred Taylor could be in for a better second half of the season if head coach Jack Del Rio sticks to a plan to emphasize the running game more. Del Rio also said that his decision had nothing to do with the injury to Byron Leftwich, according to the Florida Times-Union. Taylor has 510 yards and only one touchdown in eight games this season after rushing for 1,572 yards and six touchdowns last season.
