The Rams released Cam Cleeland from their roster on Tuesday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Cam Cleeland will take a physical with the Rams and, if he passes, he's expected to sign a contract this week to replace the injured Roland Williams, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "Cam's a very good player," Rams coach Mike Martz said. "I'd love to have him back on this team. I know what he can do. He can make a lot of plays for us."

Cam Cleeland turned an ankle in practice Monday and sat out Wednesday's session as a result, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Still, he's expected to be ready for Sunday's game.
