Edgerrin James sat out of Saturday's exhibition game due to a sore hamstring. The injury is not considered significant; James was able to practice Thursday and Friday and warmed up with the team on Saturday, according to the Arizona Republic. It appears the Cardinals were just being cautious and that Edge should be fine for Week 1.

Edgerrin James was not at the team’s voluntary practice Monday, but he had already told Ken Whisenhunt he would be absent, according to the Arizona Republic. James usually works out on his own during the summer and is always ready to go for training camp.

Edgerrin James underwent minor knee surgery after last season ended to drain fluid from the joint, according to the East Valley Tribune. It's possible that James could be limited in the Cardinals' upcoming mini-camp.
