Marty Booker agreed to a two-year contract with the Bears on Tuesday evening, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. After losing Mushin Muhammed and Bernard Berrian to free agency, the Bears picked up a veteran presence, who can at least take care of business. But he's a long way from the 197 catches he pulled in between 2001 and 2002 in his first stint with the Bears; he hasn't even topped 55 catches in a season since then. He could start, depending on what other players they bring in via free agency.

Marty Booker, who recently visited the New England Patriots about the possibility of joining the team, left team headquarters without a contract offer, according to the Sun-Times. Booker, who played in Miami for the past four seasons, has several interested suitors including: Arizona, Minnesota, Tennessee, Pittsburgh and the New York Jets.

Marty Booker will add the Patriots to the list of team's interested in his services when he visits the club on Tuesday, this according to a report in the Boston Globe. With Donte Stallworth on his way out of town, the Pats would love to secure the services of Booker especially with the status of Jabar Gaffney also up in the air.

Marty Booker, who earlier reports suggested was interested in returning to the Chicago Bears, has several suitors interested in his services, according to the Sun Times. Chicago hasn’t responded to Booker’s offer to join the organization, but interest reportedly remains strong by several NFL teams including Dallas, Minnesota, New England and Tennessee. Booker, 31, could be a solid possession receiver for a team weak at the position.

Marty Booker told the Chicago Sun Times he wants to go home. A day after the Miami Dolphins released the veteran wide receiver the Bears are considering signing Booker, 31, before he fields other offers. Bears general manager Jerry Angelo traded Booker to Miami for defensive end Adewale Ogunleye before the 2004 season. Because Booker is a vested veteran, he is eligible to sign before free agency opens at 11:01 p.m. on Feb. 28.
