Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Dennis Northcutt is the target of a troubling lawsuit that includes assault allegations against a woman believed to be the mother of his child, according to Pro Football Talk. Mike Florio of PFT quotes a TMZ report stating a woman who was carrying Northcutts unborn baby claims that Northcutt conspired to have her beaten up. Sharri Henry claims that, in May 2008, Northcutt persuaded his cousin to maliciously assault, beat, strike and batter Plaintiff, her face and head with great force and violence . . . causing severe and permanent disfigurement to her face.

Dennis Northcutt is day-to-day after sustaining a strained back Sunday, according to the Florida Times Union.

The Jaguars agreed on a five-year contract with Dennis Northcutt on Sunday, according to the AP. The contract was reportedly worth $17 million and included a $4.5-million signing bonus. In Jacksonville, he joins a receiving corps that includes Matt Jones, Reggie Williams and Ernest Wilford.

Dennis Northcutt missed Friday's practice due to his strained quadriceps, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He's expected to be a game-time call for Sunday's finale.

Dennis Northcutt worked at Thursday's practice after missing the prior day, the Browns official site reports. Noneteheless Northcutt is still questionable on the injury report, and he's clearly not a major part of the offense now that Joe Jurevicius has stepped back into the mix.
