November 17, 2007
Santana Moss took a big step Friday towards playing this weekend. He was able to practice for the first time in two weeks and now is listed as probable, according to the Washington Post. A trainer modified Moss' cleats to give his bruised heel more protection. It sounds like he's going to be able to start Sunday, but whether he will be able to complete the game is anyone's guess.

November 13, 2007
Santana Moss may be able to play in Week 11. He sat out in Week 10 due to a bruised heel. X-rays last week and an MRI on Monday showed no significant damage, and he is expected to resume running during the practice week, the Washington Post reports. Fantasy owners have no reason to trust him at this point.
November 11, 2007
Santana Moss is inactive on Sunday against the Eagles due to a sore heel.
November 9, 2007
Santana Moss was unable to practice again Friday due to a sore heel. He's listed as questionable on the injury report, but neither Moss nor coach Joe Gibbs sounded optimistic that it would heal sufficiently before game time, according to the AP. "Same that it felt all week. Sore. Hurts. Painful," Moss said. "I couldn't tell you yes or no right now. It's one of those things where I'll just have to see how it feels on Sunday." Even if Moss does suit up, he can't be considered a useful fantasy option, having not scored a touchdown or topped the 100-yard mark at all this season.
November 9, 2007
Santana Moss missed a second straight practice on Thursday due to a sore heel. "I went out there and did a little something, I didn't go full," Moss tells the Washington Post. "It's sore. I'm just not going to beat it up in practice."
October 21, 2007
Santana Moss is active and starting on Sunday against the Cardinals. He was listed as probable due to a sore groin and hamstring.
October 18, 2007
Santana Moss practiced fully on Wednesday. He tweaked a hamstring in Week 6 and previously dealt with a groin injury.
October 15, 2007
Santana Moss returned from his strained groin Sunday, but he didn't play after dropping a 30-yard pass one drive after fumbling in the third quarter. The fumble was returned for the game-winning touchdown. "I can blame the rain, I can blame it on whatever, but what it comes down to is, point blank, I've just got to make those plays regardless of the situation," Moss said, according to the Washington Post. "I've been that player before. I can say that I've had one of those games that I never seen myself having, but if I want to blame anybody I'll blame myself." Obviously, his groin wasn't 100 percent and played a role in Moss being ineffective, but it didn't explain the fumble. We'll see as the week goes along whether he'll be ready for their next game.
October 14, 2007
Santana Moss is active and will start in Week 6. He missed last Sunday's game due to a sore groin.

October 9, 2007
Santana Moss continues to see improvement in his sore groin, and he will try to practice on Tuesday. Moss suffered the injury in Week 3 and did not play in Week 5. "Every day I'm going to progress. I know I'm going to practice, but you never know how the load is going to be," he tells the Washington Post. "I know I'm not going to go out there and go crazy."
October 7, 2007
Santana Moss is inactive for Sunday's game against the Lions. He was doubtful due to a groin injury suffered in Week 3. James Thrash will start in his place. Jason Campbell's stock takes a hit with Moss on the sidelines.
October 5, 2007
Santana Moss did not practice on Friday and is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Lions. "I can only give you the facts--he didn't practice [Friday]," head coach Joe Gibbs tells the team's official web site. "It might be a situation where he warms up before the game, he might not." James Thrash is expected to start if Moss is out.
October 5, 2007
Santana Moss ran some sprints Thursday but otherwise wasn't able to practice, the AP reports. He'll need to step it up Friday if he's going to play Sunday against Detroit. Antwaan Randle El gets a bump in value if Moss isn't able to go on game day.
October 4, 2007
Santana Moss sat out practice again on Wednesday due to a sore groin. He does not know when he'll be able to return or if he can play in Week 5. "I won't be able to know until I do something football-related. You never know how you're going to feel," Moss tells the Washington Post.
October 3, 2007
Santana Moss hasn't tested his strained groin this week, at least not on land. Moss has run in a water tank and had medical personnel check his progress. "He's doing better," director of sports medicine Bubba Tyer tells the Washington Post. "He's trying to get as much rest [by not participating in drills] and we're exercising him... He feels fine doing that. We're taking him day-to- day and will do more tomorrow."
October 2, 2007
Santana Moss sat out on Monday due to a strained left groin, but he hopes to practice later in the week and be ready for Sunday's game against the Lions. "It's a long season still, and I'm not trying to sit here and have something pretty much continue to bother me through the long year," he tells the Washington Post. "Thus far it's feeling a lot better, so who knows what will happen later in the week." Moss suffered the injury in Week 3.
September 24, 2007

His status will be updated on Monday. Moss injured his groin this past May, and he was dealing with the lingering effects until early August.
August 15, 2007
Santana Moss missed most of the spring and summer sessions and was limited early in camp due to groin and hip injuries, but head coach Joe Gibbs is no longer worried about his best wideout. "We wanted to make sure that he didn't have a re-occurrence of his leg problems, so we guarded against what we let him do," Gibbs explains to the team's official web site. "He is smart about how he feels."
August 1, 2007
Santana Moss is still dealing with groin and hip injuries. He strained his groin in early May and spent the spring and summer dealing with a sore left hip. "He feels like he's compensating a little bit on his leg, so he's got a soreness in his groin instead of the hip flexor/abdominal area," director of sports medicine Bubba Tyer tells the Washington Post.

May 11, 2007
Santana Moss did not participate in Thursday's organized activities because he strained his groin on Wednesday. "That's always a concern because no matter what their off-season running program is, it's different when they come out here, run a route and burst for a ball," head coach Joe Gibbs told the team's official web site.
