Marc Bulger was sharp in his first game back from a sprained right shoulder, going 20-for-27 for 233 yards and a TD Monday night. Head coach Mike Martz revealed after the game that Bulger has been playing hurt since the season opener.

He's fighting through it."

"I don't know what to tell you because he actually threw the ball much better today than I would have predicted," Rams coach Mike Martz said. "He feels like he can zip it, but we just asked him to refrain from that." The Rams will probably make a decision regarding his availability on Friday.

"You hate to guess right now. You don't know after I can finally throw if it's going to flare back up. So I'm going to rest it a week and then see."

Marc Bulger will miss at least one or two games because of his shoulder injury, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Bulger has a bone bruise on his throwing shoulder at the top of his collarbone. The good news is that the injury isn't a shoulder separation. "He's awfully sore today," coach Mike Martz said at his Monday news conference. "It's very tender. When you have a bone bruise like that, it can be very painful. So we'll just have to see how he deals with it."

Rams officials indicated that the shoulder injury Marc Bulger sustained yesterday was worse than the one he sustained late in October, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The injury in October might have sidelined him the following Sunday had the Rams not had a bye week. His availability for Week 14 won't be known until later in the week.

The Rams made Marc Bulger a $1.824 million qualifying offer on Friday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. By doing so, any other team that wants to sign the restricted free agent must also compensate the Rams with a first- and third-round draft choice. The team had considered tendering an offer which would have required only a first-round pick, but they may have been spooked by Bulger's MVP performance in the Pro Bowl, which likely improved his reputation around the league.
