Reuben Droughns was back at practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday's session to tend to a personal matter, according to the Browns website. Droughns had been listed as questionable because of a foot injury, but he was removed from the injury report after practice.

Reuben Droughns, who has been dealing with a foot injury, got the start against the Chiefs on Sunday and was effective for one of the few times this year. He rushed 14 times for 70 yards (5.0 YPC) and a score, and he also caught five balls for 48 yards. This was just the second time all year he's averaged at least 4.0 YPC in a game. Jason Wright also got some work, but he struggled, managing just 25 yards on 11 carries.

Reuben Droughns was upgraded to probable Friday, according to the Browns official site. He's dealing with a foot injury. It's still not clear how the team plans to divvy up the workload between Droughns and Jason Wright, but at least Droughns should be on the field against Kansas City.

The Browns have not declared in public how they plan to divvy up the work in the backfield; Jason Wright received most of the carries last week while Droughns only got two attempts (in addition to some special-teams work) .

Reuben Droughns has stated that he doesn't know why he was benched in favor of Jason Wright last week, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "I'm kind of in the dark right now," he said. "But at the same time, they've got some younger guys that they have trust in and it's just one of those situations that you've got to understand the moves that they're trying to make." Droughns carried the ball just twice in Week 12, although Wright didn't get much more work, carrying just five times.

Coach Romeo Crennel said he benched Reuben Droughns Sunday partly because of his sprained foot and partly because Jason Wright hit the holes well against Pittsburgh in Week 11, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Droughns received just two carries on the day. When asked if Droughns would return as the starter this year, Crennel responded, "When his foot heals, we'll see if that's the case."

Reuben Droughns's lawyer said that the domestic violence case against his client will be dropped, according to the AP. "I'm assuming that they (prosecutors) finally listened to me and determined they didn't have a case to begin with," Attorney Harvey Steinberg said. This means that Droughns shouldn't face any residual punishment from the NFL.
