Plaxico Burress is not expected to participate in the New York GiantsÂ’ offseason program because he is rehabbing ankle, knee and shoulder injuries, according to the Newark Star-Ledger. Burress played through the ankle injury all season, but this is the first report of a shoulder injury, which is described as a slight AC joint separation. Burress is also interested in renegotiating his contract, which could put his presence at mini-camps in jeopardy.

New York Giants' season ticket holders are going to pay about $7 more per ticket to watch the Super Bowl champions next season, according to CBS Sports. The Giants sent letters to ticket holders this week informing them of the roughly eight percent increase. Last season, the average price of a ticket was $83.29, which ranked 12th out of the 32 teams in the NFL. Things are tough all over, but the organization has to find a way to pay for wide receiver Plaxico Burress' new deal.

Plaxico Burress is agitated about the recent signing of Javon Walker to a massive contract, according to the New York Star-Ledger. Walker, who was coming off an injury-marred campaign, received a six-year deal worth $55 million from Oakland, including $16 million in guaranteed money. Walker is now making twice as much money as Burress, who signed his contract back in 2005. During the past three seasons, Burress has started 46 games for New York - compiling 209 receptions, 3,227 yards and 29 touchdowns. He is due to make $3.25 million in 2008 and $10.5 million over the next three seasons.

The NFL Network reports that Giants wide out Plaxico Burress will ask the New York front office to rework his contract. Burress is currently playing under a six-year, $25 million deal in which he collected $8.25 million in bonuses three years ago. Burress' game winning touchdown catch in Super Bowl XLII and his huge NFC Championship performance has obviously inspired his agent to strike while the iron is hot.

Plaxico Burress took part in a walkthrough on Saturday, according to the AP. He hasn't practiced this week due to his knee and ankle ailments and is listed as questionable. All signs point to Burress playing in the Super Bowl tomorrow, but we'll know for certain about an hour from game time.
