If that holds true, then Dennis Northcutt would likely move into the slot role as the number three receiver, with promising second-year pro Mike Walker following him on the depth chart at four. Troy Williamson, Matt Jones, and John Broussard will fight for the remaining spots, which may only be one.

The report cites the NFL Network’s Adam Schefter, who is reporting the deal is for six-years, $30 million - including $10 million in guaranteed money. With that type of money involved, Porter will be expected to be the go-to guy in the Jacksonville passing attack.

As far as we know nothing has been finalized, but this transaction would make sense for both sides. Porter could leave the purgatory of Oakland, for a new start in Jacksonville, a franchise who could use an upgrade at wide receiver.

The Raiders wide out blamed the five straight seasons of woe on turnover at quarterback and coaching staff. Porter told the on-air cast that it's time for him to "move on" -- from Oakland. Porter, a free agent, has several suitors according to published reports. The Eagles are reportedly the most interested in the 30-year old wide out.
