LaDainian Tomlinson missed practice Wednesday, but noted that he is "close to getting back to where he wants to be physically," according to the Chargers' official website.

LaDainian Tomlinson did not practice on Wednesday due to his injured toe, according to Chargers.com.

LaDainian Tomlinson will continue to play through his toe injury no matter how much it detracts from what he wants to do on the field, according to the Rocky Mountain News. "This is a critical time for our football team," he said. "It's not a one-week injury. You can't get better in one week. There's no such thing. Nobody can. If you're injured you're injured."

Tomlinson had his best yardage game of the season on Sunday at Oakland, getting 20 carries for 106 yards and touchdowns. He also caught two passes for nine yards.
