X-rays on LaDainian Tomlinson's jaw revealed nothing serious, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. "It's nothing that is significant," he said. "After taking a shot there it kind of came back. I've dealt with it before. I'm going to continue to play."

ESPN reports that LaDainian Tomlinson will have precautionary X-rays taken of his jaw. Tomlinson left Sunday night's game in the final minutes and was seen having his jaw examined on the sideline. The injury came at the tail end of a night when L.T. rushed for 199 yards and two touchdowns.

LaDainian Tomlinson had 199 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries on Sunday night to extend his NFL record to 31 touchdowns this season. He also set the NFL record for scoring with 186 points. In addition, he set a new record for consecutive multi-touchdown games with eight. His 28 rushing touchdowns are also a new league record.

After yesterday's regular-season finale, LaDainian Tomlinson confirmed that his rib injury was actually a fracture, not just a bruise, as had been claimed, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. "It's tough when you are playing with ribs that are more than just bruised. But as football players, it's hard to take us off the field," he said. "You have to be really pretty much dying out there to come off the field. That's just the way we are."
