The Saints report rusher Deuce McAllister has reported to camp at 227 pounds, significantly lighter than he has come into the fold in recent seasons, according to the Times-Picayune.

Running back Deuce McAllister continues to be heppy with his recovery from a torn ACL in his left knee and microfracture surgery in his right knee. "I'm proud and pleased with (my progress)," he tells the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "I don't know if there's really a 'next benchmark' to be met on my part. It's pretty much just getting out there and trying to make plays. That's what I'm looking forward to." McAllister practiced on a limited basis and did individual drills during the June OTAs.

Deuce McAllister reportedly moved well during the Saints' final round of OTA sessions, and he did not have any issues with either of his surgically repaired knees, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Deuce McAllister, who is coming back from surgeries on his knees last September, said he feels good about his recovery timetable. He has been running and doing some cutting and planting for about three weeks, and he was able to run full-speed pass routes with teammates for the first time on Monday, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Deuce McAllister and the Saints agreed to terms on a restructured contract on Monday, NFL.com reports. The new contract will become official on Tuesday, when the running back was due a $1 million roster bonus.
